Breakfast Hash

If you love morning food as much as I do then you'll love this tasty cheesy casserole. This is my comfort food. All of my favorite breakfast foods in one dish!!! We love this whether it's breakfast, lunch or dinner. What makes this meal so great is that it's easy, filling and feeds our family of 8. We usually eat this on our Breakfast Dinner Night and rarely do we have leftovers. I love to top mine with hot sauce and ketchup. So delicious!

BREAKFAST HASH RECIPE:

16 oz Frozen Southern Style Hash Browns

12 large eggs

16 oz turkey or pork sausage

10 oz shredded sharp cheddar cheese

3-4 tbsp oil (for frying)unless using an air fryer

1/4 cup milk

Seasoning

*For seasoning I  use a sprinkle of each: Garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and paprika.

You will need a 9 x 13 baking dish.

Prep time 20-30 minutes

Cook time 25 minutes

Total time 50-60 minutes

DIRECTIONS:

1. Preheat oven to 375 F.

2. Brown hash browns in a frying pan on medium-high heat with 3-4 tablespoon of oil until desired crispiness. Remove from heat and place on a paper towel to allow excess oil to be removed. Season and then place in baking dish. You can always use an air fryer for a faster option.

3. Cook sausage and layer it on top of the hash browns.

4. Layer 8 oz of the cheese on top of the sausage.

5. Crack eggs in a bowl, add milk and beat. Pour egg mixture evenly over top of the casserole.

6. Bake in oven for 22 minutes. Remove from heat and sprinkle the other 2 oz of cheese on top.

7. Bake in oven for 3 minutes.

8. Remove and let cool for 5 minutes. Cut into squares and enjoy!
